Bluebells

27 Apr in Flowers | Comments (0)

We are right in the middle of the bluebell season. I am lucky enough to have a garden full of these little bulbs that produce such abundant foliage and the most glorious blooms.

One of my neighbours, a gardening guru and plant purist said that mine are not the variety indigenous to the UK. That might be, but they are still lovely.

We spent some time in Devon last week and walked the cliff top path between Newton Ferrers and Wembury – where sections of the cliffs are carpeted with what I would imagine are the real thing – darker blue than mine are and with not as many flowers on a stem, but just spectacular!
