My family eats a fruit salad every morning for breakfast, but it’s the basic apples, oranges, banana’s pears & grapes, which are not terribly inspiring for me.
So I went in search of something exotic, something which makes your taste buds tingle when you cut it open. I came home with figs and granadilla. Both of which are reminiscent of my childhood of hot endless summers and picking warm fruit straight from the tree and eating it with the juices running off your chin!
I had the image in my mind of the pink of the figs against a black background, taken in low light. The relationship between me and my flash is an uneasy one though and so this is not as gloomy as I would have liked, but I do like that the focus is not very sharp.
