Mother of Pearl Necklace
12 Sep in Jewellery | Comments (1)
I bought some strands of the most beautiful Mother of Pearl at a jewellery exhibition I went to recently. I’ve used one of the strands for this necklace which will be wonderful for the cooler months when we all wear our autumn colours.
It’s full of browns and greens and I have added some of my favorite Rose Gold Beads and a Rose Gold Clasp. The mother of pearl has such a gorgeous shimmer and are reassuringly heavy and so I have strung them in the traditional way of stringing pearls – which is to knot between each one. It’s a labour and time intensive way of stringing, but it’s worth it as it allows the necklace to drape perfectly and should the strand ever break you will not loose all the lustrous pearls.
As this is a one off piece it will not be added to the Twinkleberry site, so contact me at: jenni@twinkleberry.co.uk if you love it and would like some more information about it.

Briolette Cluster Earrings
05 Sep in Jewellery | Comments (0)Ah, well……I can’t believe that I am being asked for autumn colours already….. have we even had a summer this year?
Hayley asked for some earrings in greens and browns and loves briolette shapes. These cluster drops are made with swarovski crystals – with a baby briolette at the ends.

Borough Market
02 Sep in Brush Cottage | Comments (0)A weekend to London is never complete without stopping in at Borough Market on a Saturday morning. You might think that it’s the freshest of fresh vegetables that would catch my eye, or the selection of freshly baked bread, the tastiest olives? no………..it was this veritable mountain of chocolate brownies!

Flowers for Corey

Flowers go to the fabulous Corey Amaro – from Tongue in Cheek today. This is a blog that I never, ever miss.
Corey pointed us to a series of advertisements for Californian cheese – you MUST click here and watch some – they had us rolling on the floor with laughter this morning!
Chalcedony Earrings
09 Aug in Jewellery | Comments (0)I made this pair of earrings using the same faceted chalcedony as the ones in the BLUE CHALCEDONY AND GOLD CHAIN bracelet. The blue is such a gorgeous colour and they are perfect earrings for summer weather (I hope there will be an English summer this year………..?) The Chalcedony works as well with silver as it does with gold and I still love this stone!

Red and Gold Bridal jewellery
08 Aug in Brides, Jewellery | Comments (0)
Annie’s wedding was earlier this month. Her colour scheme was red and gold and she contacted me for jewellery for her 4 bridesmaids. She chose a medium crystal Heart on Red Ribbon for the necklaces, but I made them using 14ct Gold components instead of silver, in order to match her colour scheme. Annie also liked the idea of some bracelets and I used some gold vermeil chain and made some delicate cluster bracelets using gold vermeil beads and an assortment of deep red swarovski crystals.

Corrine Wright
01 Aug in Brush Cottage | Comments (0)I met Corrine Wright last year, she is a potter/ceramist who lives and runs her studio in Botley, Hampshire. I particularly loved her range of “ladies” – these little figurines are whimsical and dreamy and Corrine puts such a lot of thought and love into them, each one is a little individual.
Corrine was kind enough to souce a “Twinkleberry” pink for me and so my Twinkleberry lass is just gorgeous and I used her a lot to display my jewellery on during the christmas fairs. I was tempted to commission a range to stock on the site, but decided against it as they are fragile and I just could not guarentee them surviving the post…..sadly!

Silver Disc Necklace
23 Jul in Jewellery | Comments (0)My latest piece uses one of my favorite silver chains. It’s a fairly heavy silver chain which is a combination of round links and oval links. I’ve wire wrapped some brushed silver discs into the links and snuggled up to each disc is a little gold bead!
